Explore Lynchburg

By Sandy Wallace January 19, 2017
Are you tired of weekends at home? Winter is a great time to explore Lynchburg. Walk Lynchburg's trails along Blackwater Creek, ride bikes at Percival's Island or Blackwater Creek Bikeway, visit Lynchburg Museum, Point of Honor or one of the area's historic sites, check out Downtown Lynchburg, hit the slopes at Snowflex, play a round of mini golf at Putt-Putt, or spend a day playing at Riverside Park, Peaks View Park, Miller Park or Ivy Creek Park. Enjoy winter fun indoors at the new trampoline park, Bounce About, FunQuest, Amazement Square or one of the area's bowling alleys. Visit your local library and check out new books or participate in one of Lynchburg Public Library's storytimes or family activities. Sign up for activities or classes with Lynchburg Parks and Rec or one of the county Parks and Rec groups. Take a road trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway. There's always something fun to enjoy so grab the kids and explore Lynchburg!
