The month of September is National Coupon Month. You can save a lot of money by spending a little time checking ads and clipping coupons, but you can save even more if you're organizing. You can also receive coupons via email and on your mobile device. Here are some tips from Coupon.com's savings expert, Jeanette Pavini, to help you get started saving with coupons:
- Don't clog your inbox. Set up a separate email account for coupons, offers and newsletters to keep yourself organized.
- To the left, to the left. Budget busters are frequently placed at the right side of the store since most shoppers head that way first. Avoid the trap by heading left before you begin shopping.
- Take advantage of social media. Like your favorite brands' Facebook pages and follow them on Twitter. You'd be surprised how many offer special coupons, discounts and deals.
