Holy Cross Students are "Tickled Pink"

Raising Cancer Awareness

By Holy Cross Regional School September 26, 2014
Holy Cross Regional Catholic School students will raise cancer awareness beginning Sept. 29 through October with various "pink" activities and events. Organized by the school's Booster and Key Clubs, the kickoff on Sept. 29 will include five unique school games, a bake sale and a rainbow of ribbons denoting various forms of cancer. The halls, fields and gymnasium of Holy Cross School will change color on Monday, Sept. 29, as both student body and team athletes don pink. Each team athlete at the following games will play in honor or memory of someone with cancer, not just breast cancer. The gymnasium and path to the school soccer field will be lined with various ribbons - dark blue for colon cancer, teal for ovarian cancer, white for live cancer, light blue for prostate cancer, and the list goes on. The game balls will be bright pink for breast cancer.
