Will it snow or no? That's been the top question all during the month of February in the Lynchburg area. And the second question -- Will the kids go to school? It will be cold this weekend, with winter weather in the forecast for Sunday into Monday so get out the craft box, enjoy family night cards or board games, watch your favorite Netflix movie, pop some popcorn or make s'mores. Family-friendly events in Lynchburg and the surrounding area this weekend including: Nature Zone, "Legally Blonde Jr" at Forest Middle School, Chess for Kids at Lynchburg Public Library, Maple Sugaring at Riverside Park, family fun at Amazement Square, shopping and dining at Lynchburg Community Market, the Old Mill Artisan Marketplace or Forest Winter Farmers Market and more. Enjoy date night fun on Friday with Museum After Dark, an adults-only fundraiser at Amazement Square. Celebrate National Peanut Butter Lover's Day, National Pancake Day, Dr. Seuss' birthday, National Grammar Day and World Book Day in the week ahead. There's a lot to love about Lynchburg.
