Amazement Square invites artists across Virginia to participate in the annual Riverfront Chalk Festival. This year will be our first Riverfront Chalk Festival with a theme, Love & Peace!
The sidewalk chalk art competition is the focal point for a family-friendly block party that includes live music, food vendors, and various outdoor hands-on activities.
Last year, over 80 artists of all ages and diverse styles from the surrounding communities and beyond showcased their talents. Watch the artistic process of this year's artists, or enter yourself - the winner of the advanced artist category will take home a $1,000 grand prize!
Participating artists will be provided with a 4' x 4' paved space to use as their canvas. Space is limited, so register today online, at the museum, or by phone at (434) 845-1888! All artists who register by August 10th receive lower entry fees and are guaranteed chalk provided by the museum.
