Because of the snow days, we decided to begin the Lynchburg Macaroni Kid Gold Daisy Awards a couple of days early So...let the nominations begin for the inaugural Lynchburg Macaroni Kid Gold Daisy Awards! Macaroni Kid's Gold Daisy Awards recognize the most beloved local businesses for kids and families. Lynchburg Macaroni Kid is super excited to join our sister Macaroni Kid sites across the nation in 2018 for these coveted awards.
Throughout the year, Lynchburg Macaroni Kid brings you the scoop. Now it is YOUR turn to tell us about the businesses that just plain make your life easier as a parent! Nominations are open from Jan. 20 through Feb. 3, 2018.
THE CATEGORIES
We want to know your family's top go-to choices to enrich and entertain your kids, as well as the businesses that just make your life as a parent a little easier!
Enrich Your Kids (classes, lessons, and camps)
Entertain Your Kids (places to go to play and have fun)
Celebrate with Your Kids (party venues, bakeries, party entertainers, family photographers)
Feed Your Kids ... and Yourself (restaurants -- various categories)
Take Care of Your Kids ... and Yourself (services and shopping)
Wellness for Your Family (health practitioners)
One Last Thing ... or two (best new business, best kept secret)
THE SCHEDULE
Nominations are open from January 18, 2018 until February 3, 2018 at 8pm.
The top 3-5 businesses in each category with the most online nominations will move on to the voting round starting February 10, 2018.
Voting will close on February 24, 2018.
Winners will be announced on March 3, 2018.
THE RULES
Nominate as many or as few businesses as you would like. You must nominate in at least five categories to be eligible for the prize drawing.
Only one nomination or vote per email address please. You must be a subscriber to the Lynchburg Macaroni Kid newsletter in order to nominate and vote. You can subscribe here.
