Let's celebrate the dads in our lives this weekend! Father's Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in June each year to honor the men we call Dad, Pops, Father, Daddy, Pa, or Papa.
There are as many ways to celebrate Dad as there are titles for him. Father's Day is celebrated on June 15 in 2025.
Two of our favorite Lynchburg annual events take place over the weekend: Brookville-Timberlake Volunteer Fire Department Carnival and 40th Annual James River Batteau Festival! See below for all of the weekend events.
June 19 is observed as Juneteenth, the anniversary of the date Texas slaves were told in 1865 that they were free. So you'll also find Juneteenth events on our calendar this weekend.
