Fall festival season in Central Virginia starts in early September and continues in October. Some local fall festivals are primarily for adults, but many also offer fun kids' activities. Blue Ridge Mountain Maze -- (2026 hours: Sept. 19 - Nov. 8: Saturdays from 10 AM - 10 PM; Sundays from 10 AM - 6 PM; and Fridays (October and November only) from 12 PM - 6 PM, at Blue Toad Hard Cider, Roseland
Dark Leaf Farms -- (2026 hours: Sept. 26 through late October (date not noted); Friday through Sunday: Fridays from 4 PM - 6 PM; Saturdays from 10 AM - 6 PM; Sundays from 1 PM - 5 PM) 2026 events: Haunted Corn Maze Oct. 10, 24, and 30 from 7 PM - 11 PM; Kids Spookley Night Oct. 16 and 23 from 7 PM - 11 PM.
