We at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church (1695 Perrowville Road, Forest) invite you to join us on Thursday, December 18 at 7:00 p.m. for a special Longest Night Service (more commonly known as a Blue Christmas Service).
For many, the Advent and Christmas seasons are full of great joy and excitement, a time of brightness spent in celebration with family and friends.
The truth for others, however, is that the season for them holds only darkness as they struggle with illness, grief, loneliness, job difficulties or any of a number of other life stresses.
This special service allows us to acknowledge the sorrows faced by ourselves, our neighbors, and our loved ones, join in special prayers, light candles, and provide a safe, welcoming and supportive space in the quiet of the church.
