Description
Calling all dads and kids! Fatherhood Fun Day is a chance for you to make meaningful memories together!
This FREE event will be held May 23 from 10 am - 4:00 pm, at the Peaks Retreat & Adventure Center (1336 Simmons Mill Rd.) in Thaxton.
Come for a couple of hours… or stay the whole day!
ACTIVITIES- Choose from a variety of outdoor activities including crafts, yard games, fishing, swimming, hiking, and disc golf.
YOU MAY WANT TO BRING:
-Towel (if you plan to swim)
-Water bottle. There will be water stations set up around the property.
-Sunscreen (if you plan to stay all day and get in the water)
-Fishing pole (there will be a few provided but if you have your own, bring it!)
This event is a joint collaboration between Bedford County Parks & Recreation, the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, and Bedford County Department of Social Services.
