Summer Movie Express tickets are just $2, featuring summer movies the whole family will enjoy. Movie schedule hasn't yet been announced for summer 2024. We will add dates, times, and movies when announced.
Free Indoor and Outdoor Summer Movies for 2024
Free outdoor movies are at various locations in the Lynchburg area. All movies start at dusk. Some locations have activities or food available for purchase. Click each link for more details about individual movies. Some venues don't release movie names until closer to event dates. Additional free summer movies will be added to our calendar as information is shared.
May 18 - Movies on the Field in Amherst: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" gates open at 5 PM; movie at dusk
May 18 - Outdoor Movie: "Disney's Wish" at First Christian Church at 8 PM
June 7 - Family Movie Night at Falling Creek Park in Bedford: "TMNT Mutant Mayhem" - begins at dark
June 20 - Family Movie Event: "Disney's Treasure Planet" at Forest Library at 12 PM
July 12 – "Trolls Band Together" at Riverfront Park activities begin at 6:30 PM; movie at dusk
July 12 - Family Movie Night at Falling Creek Park in Bedford: "Trolls Band Together" - begins at dark
July 19 – "Wonka" at Riverfront Park activities begin at 6:30 PM; movie at dusk
August 2 – "Jumanji" at Riverfront Park activities begin at 6:30 PM; movie at dusk
August 9 – "The Goonies" at Riverfront Park activities begin at 6:30 PM; movie at dusk
August 16 – "Sing 2" at Riverfront Park activities begin at 6:30 PM; movie at dusk
August 30 – "Barbie" at Riverfront Park activities begin at 6:30 PM; movie at dusk
