As we inch our way toward summer, Sprayground at Riverside Park will soon be open for the season. If you haven't visited here with your kids, you need to put it on your calendar this year.
Sprayground is a ground level ADA accessible water park that's fun for the entire family and, best of all, it's free. Sprayground first opened in July 2010 and has been wildly popular among Lynchburg area children and their parents. Sprayground includes a tall tower with buckets that fill with water before emptying onto the heads of those below. Also included are ground level water spouts, fish that spray water, and cascading waterfalls. The Junior League of Lynchburg helped fund this project, part of an ongoing renovation at Riverside Park.
Sprayground is open from 11 am-7 pm daily from May until October 1, weather permitting.
