Paper Snowflakes for Winter Fun

Easy craft for kids of all ages

By Sandy Wallace January 9, 2022

The perfect easy craft for a cold winter day is making paper snowflakes! You may remember making these simple paper snowflakes when you were a kid.

Here's what you'll need:

  • White card stock or unlined white paper
  • Scissors
  • Glitter and glue (optional)
  • Markers, crayons or colored pencils (optional)

Cut the paper into squares and then fold into equal parts: fold in half, then fourths, eighths and sixteenths.

Cut small shapes that overlap the folds.

Unfold and you have beautiful snowflakes - each one is unique.

Decorate with markers, crayons, or colored pencils or leave just like they are.

Add some glitter -- if you dare -- for a fancy finish if you like.

This simple craft is easy enough for toddlers and fun for teens so let the whole family get in on the fun!
