Explore Lynchburg: Visit Ivy Creek Park

By Sandy Wallace June 12, 2018

Ivy Creek Park is the city's newest park, dedicated in 2011. Ivy Creek is one of Lynchburg's little known treasures. It's not a busy park like Peaks View, Riverside and Miller Parks.

Nature is the name of the game at Ivy Creek Park. From the small nature-themed play area to the fishing lake and wooded trails, you'll be surrounded by nature at Ivy Creek Park.

Canoe and kayak rentals are available on summer weekends. Fish from the banks of Clemmons Lake or the pier. Clemmons Lake is a catch and release lake. Turn off Route 221 into the Lynchbpin Industrial Park between the Sheetz and fire station and follow the signs to Ivy Creek Park.

Pack a picnic lunch and get back to nature this week at Ivy Creek Park.
