The Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade.

HKRS Series events take place once a week and offer age appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run.
Kids compete each week for a chance to earn points. At the end of the Series the boys and girls who accumulate the most points in their respective distances are awarded trophies. All participants receive a medal on Week 5!
The Healthy Kids Running Series, which was created by Founder and President of Pattison Sports Group Jeff Long, takes place in over 200 locations across the country. Participating in the series provides kids with a positive, educational, and fun experience in the world of running.
The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal, sponsor giveaways when available, and trophies for top place finishers. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Online Early Bird registration is $40.00 and then increases to $45.00 three weeks prior to the first race event.
The Healthy Kids Running Series is separated into the following six age group divisions:
Pre-K ages 2-3 years old will run 50 yard dash
Pre-K ages 4-5 years old will run 75 yard dash
Challenger inclusive race for special needs children is a 75 yard dash
Grades K-1 will run 1/4 mile
Grades 2-3 will run 1/2 mile
Grades 4-8 will run 1 mile

The Challenger race division is is an inclusive all age race for children with special needs who might need a little extra help on the course. Parents/aids/volunteers are able to be on course for this division only. Our Challenger race will not be timed, 75 yard distance and all children (boys and girls ages 2-18) will run together.
