Add to the fun by participating in the Virginia State Parks Trail Quest program, a fun program that rewards you for visiting Virginia State Parks.
Forty of the 43 Virginia State Parks offer the Trail Quest program. When you visit your first park, you'll receive a welcome email. Souvenir pins will be awarded after visits to five, 10, 20, and 30 parks.
You'll receive your final pin after all parks are visited, as well as a Master Hiker certificate, awarded at a park of your choice by a member of the Virginia State Parks staff.
Each member of your family is eligible to participate in the Trail Quest program. It's easy to register on the Virginia State Parks website: https://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state-parks/trail-quest
You'll create a Trail Quest account for each member of the family. Your progress will be tracked through the system and you'll receive email notifications as you hike your way through the parks.
After you visit your 35th park, you'll receive an email to let you know your progress and asking that you contact the Virginia State Parks to arrange your Master Hiker certificate presentation.
The Virginia State Parks Trail Quest program is a fun way to get out in nature, visit historic sites, explore unique geologic formations, and learn more about Virginia.
Virginia State Parks are inexpensive destinations, with minimal park entry fees. You can also purchase an annual pass at the Virginia State Park website.
