The Mission of Elizabeth's Early Learning Center is to provide every child with affectionate and personalized care in a safe environment. We focus on providing for the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive developmental needs of children in an age-appropriate manner. Elizabeth's Early Learning Center, Inc. was established in 1997, as a not-for-profit childcare center. EELC is the result of the community's effort and the vision of one special individual, Mrs. Elizabeth Forsyth. The Center embraces all children regardless of race, ethnicity , socio-economic level, religion or ability.
The Center provides year-round, full-day childcare services and early childhood education for more than 140 children, ages 6 weeks through kindergarten. Our program includes infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-K classrooms. EELC is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and strictly adheres to curriculum, staff ratios, and training standards.
EELC is open from 7:00a.m.-6:00p.m. Monday through Friday. The educational program begins by 9:00a.m. and we request that all students be in place in their classrooms by that time.
EELC is a year-round program, designed for working parents. The program is closed on major holidays, for Christmas week, and for selected teacher work days. An automated call goes out to all families to notify them of cancellations & delays due to weather conditions.
