Our preschool has been a ministry of First Presbyterian Church, serving children ages 12 months through 5 years since 1946. The school is open to all children regardless of race, nationality, creed, gender and disability who may benefit from our type of program.
A child must be 1, 2, 3 or 4 years old by September 30th of the current school year to be enrolled in the program.
In addition to morning school, the following programs are available for enrolled students:
Lunch Bunch, an afternoon extended session until 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM or 5:15 PM* is available for our 2, 3, & Pre-K Students who are enrolled in the morning classes.
Early Birds is available to children at least 2 years old and enrolled in a 2, 3, or Pre-K class. Students participating in Early Birds may stay at school from 7:45-8:50 AM on the days they attend Morning School.
Summer Camp is available to enrolled students each summer.
The purpose of our early childhood ministry is to provide our community the highest quality preschool and extended care experience.
The school encourages children's spiritual, emotional, mental, physical and social growth. Through happy, interactive experiences, children build positive attitudes. A love of school and a development of a solid foundation are essential for early education and beyond.
The Weekday School, in a joint effort with Lynchburg City Schools, proudly and lovingly includes children with special needs in our classrooms. A dynamic classroom environment encourages growth for all of our children as they begin their educational journey.
