Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Camp is open to non-Girl Scouts; sign-up and try out Girl Scouting for FREE at camp this summer. Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Camp offers opportunities to explore the out-of-doors while learning new skills and making friends. In Lynchburg, Girl Scout camp dates are July 19 - 21, 2024 for rising 1st - 6th graders with overnight and day camp options.

Pioneer Theatre Finding Nemo Theatre Camp is open to rising Lynchburg City Schools third through fifth graders. Join us for a fin-tastic week-long theatre camp where kids will learn the ropes of acting with their favorite characters like Marlin, Dory, and, of course, Nemo! Whether your child is a first-time actor or a seasoned star, your little fish will thrive in a supportive, fun-filled environment! Finding Nemo Theatre Camp dates are June 23-28, 2025 at Heritage High School.

Rap Opera for Kids Hip Hop Summer Camp operates two sessions of camp for children who have completed grades 3, 4, or 5 and reside in the Lynchburg and Central Virginia area. This camp is perfect for kids who love to dance, rap, sing, write songs, and make music or art. Campers will have four workshop sessions each day to learn and practice these elements of Hip Hop in a week-long, full-day camp. Hip Hop Summer Camp dates are July 7 – July 11 and July 28 – August 1 from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM at Faith Alliance Church, 7808 Timberlake Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502.

Summer Camp Happiness at The Lynchburg Humane Society Center for Pets is offering 6 weeks of summer camps for children ages 7-12. All camps include guest speakers, special animal guests, crafts, activities, snacks, & time to visit with pets. Camp Happiness camp dates are June 16-20, June 23-27, July 7-11, July 14-18, July 21-25, July 28- Aug 1 with options for single day or full week camp.

Summer WonderCamp at Amazement Square offers a summer of discovery, creativity, and fun! WonderCamp Junior 1/2 Day camps are for 3-5 Year Olds. Full day camps include: WonderCamp Explorer for completed K - 2nd graders, WonderCamp Adventurer for completed 3rd - 5th graders, and WonderCamp Theater for completed 6th - 8th graders. WonderCamp Discovery is a 1/2 day neurodivergent affirming program for completed 4th-5th graders. Camps run Monday to Friday beginning June 2nd through August 8th with no camps the week of July 4th. Different camp levels are offered each week.

Tech Cats Summer Coding Day Camp at Randolph College is a week-long introduction to computer programming and robotics for rising 3rd – rising 8th grade students. Campers will learn the basics of computer programming, computer science and robotics through fun, collaborative and creative activities. Camp dates are June 9-13, June 23–27, July 28–Aug. 1.

Welcome to Lynchburg Macaroni Kid! I've lived in Lynchburg for many years and love it here. I'm mom to five young adults who now have families of their own. We stay busy with kid activities and love spending time outdoors. When it's time for a road trip, we're usually headed to the beach, the Blue Ridge Mountains or out of state to visit family. At home, you'll find me in the garden or at the computer, adding great local events to the Lynchburg Macaroni Kid calendar.
