Honoring Benjamin and Anthony Rucker, inventors of the James River Batteau. Join the celebration which includes the unveiling of historic markers pertaining to the Rucker brothers and the batteau, living history interpreters including the Rucker brothers, a
blacksmith, period musicians, activities for families, and food vendors. The James River Batteau Festival Launch takes place one week later on June 16, 2018 from Percival's Island.
