The JLL invites the community of the Greater Lynchburg area to join us and our sponsors for a free family fun day during which everyone can enjoy an explorative and culturally-enriching time in Miller Park!
Since 1926, when the Junior League of Lynchburg (JLL) was founded, we have harnessed the power of women’s leadership in Central Virginia to create a more vibrant, caring, and dynamic place for all of us to live. Day In The Park is an event which allows the League to fulfill our mission while providing a day of family-focused fun for local residents. We are proud to partner with our community and offer a platform for local businesses and organizations to reach families that may not normally have access. The JLL is committed to ensuring that children and their families have the optimal opportunities and services essential for their physical well-being and safety, intellectual, educational, emotional, mental, and social growth.
For over 40 years, Day in the Park has been a fun-filled event in which the Junior League of Lynchburg embraces the community alongside local nonprofit organizations. We cordially invite residents of Greater Lynchburg to join in the excitement of this rain-or-shine family fun day of the Arts, Culture, Health, Services & Entertainment! Through this event, the JLL encourages all residents to once again come together and enjoy our beautiful city and all it has to offer.
We are delightedly working to create a festival atmosphere of villages, each with its own focus on enriching the lives of elementary-age children and their families through local vendors, organizations, entertainment, and large exhibits. Day in the Park will also feature a strong health and human services aspect as we are partnering with many regional nonprofits who will be in attendance.
