FIRST FRIDAYS IS A MONTHLY OPEN HOUSE FOR THE GREATER LYNCHBURG COMMUNITY.
During this event, we launch new exhibitions, both large and small, programming, and other events. Every evening features local musicians, artists, and small businesses. The aim is to make art and culture more easily accessible to the Lynchburg community while providing an entertaining evening.
Join us as we commemorate 20 years with the opening of our very special 20th Anniversary Exhibition on Friday, September 1, 2023 , 5-8 p.m.
This exhibition will explore and celebrate the past, present and future of Riverviews Artspace. See the work of the visionaries who spearheaded the revitalization of the arts in Downtown Lynchburg and local artists who continue to create and inspire our community.
Keep an eye on our social media channels as we will be sharing pictures and information about the artists featured in this momentous anniversary show.
We will kick off the evening with a chance to meet the artists during the Artists’ Reception from 5 to 6 p.m. Live music + cash bar all evening & a button-making station for all ages. Free and open to the public. Donations encouraged!
