A JAZZ CONCERT FOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH
Charlottesville Jazz singer Stephanie Nakasian and Richmond pianist Lucy Kilkpatrick, with Karl Kimmel, bass; and Keith Willingham, drums; will perform a tribute to black blues and jazz singers of the 1920s,Bessie Smith and Ma Rainey, and women singers through the big bands era and even a little “Bop.”
