Description
Get mooned by the Jamerson Library and James River State Park! On Monday, April 8th, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm in Abbitt Park, we will be hosting a solar eclipse watch party. We will pass out free solar eclipse glasses to patrons 5 YEARS OF AGE AND UP ONLY, while supplies last, with a limit of 1 per person, and a total of 4 pairs per family. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets as we watch this historical event unfold next door to the Library. Please do not look directly at the eclipse without proper viewing devices. If you do not have solar glasses bring a cardboard box and Marty from James River will teach you to to make a solar watch box! The Library and James River State Park will be passing out free bottles of water, worksheets, solar eclipse-safe viewing sheets, and other educational materials. Be sure to come early to get a good spot on the grass!
