Summer in Lynchburg is not complete without Fireworks on the Riverfront! We are thrilled to once again welcome friends and families to Downtown Lynchburg on Friday, July 5, for our 4th year hosting this FREE event. Visitors can expect food, music, and activities to kick off at 6pm at Riverfront Park with the fireworks show beginning just after dark – approximately 9:15pm.
Riverfront Park will be under construction this summer for the new amphitheater and additional improvements; however, the City of Lynchburg has allowed us to utilize half of the park as well as the adjacent Riverfront Parking Lot for the event. The main event and stage will be located within Riverfront Park, and we will have two food truck zones located in the Depot Grove and along Jefferson Street. Additional public viewing locations will be provided ahead of time.
We're able to bring you Fireworks on the Riverfront thanks to our title sponsor, BWX Technologies, Inc., with additional support from Genworth Financial, Academy Center of the Arts, the City of Lynchburg, and our media partners ABC 13 - WSET, 1079 WYYD, and 96.3 WROV.
