Help us celebrate the 25th anniversary of James River State Park on June 22 with a full day of fun!
Starting at 10 a.m. we're hosting an anniversary event featuring cake, barbecue, music, river activities, a car show, free wagon rides and much more.
10 a.m. Event kickoff, featuring free tubing* for the first 40 visitors.
12-5 p.m. Car show, demonstrations, food trucks & children’s activities around shelter 4.
1 p.m. Cake cutting/door prize drawing* at shelter 4.
1-4 p.m. Free wagon rides starting at shelter 4.
3 p.m. Friends of James River State Park Duck Race at the canoe landing.
7 p.m. Live music at the amphitheater.
9 p.m. Dark Sky Program at shelter 4.
*Stop by the contact station to receive your ticket for the door prize drawing. The drawing will begin at 1 p.m. at shelter 4. You must be present to win.
*Free tubing is limited to the first 40 visitors to arrive at the canoe landing. This float is from the canoe landing to Dixon landing with a shuttle service provided.

Stay until 9 p.m. for a special night sky viewing program that will be worth the wait.
We're also offering a free shuttle service for visitors who want to float the river during the day.
