The event is sure to delight the whole family and is coming Oct. 17-20 to Sweet Briar Drive in Amherst, Virginia. Enjoy a fun-filled event that will include agriculture competitions, midway rides, carnival food, local retail vendors, a fabulous line-up of live music, and much more!
You asked, and we listened. One of the biggest takeaways from the 2023 Fair Survey was that you all would like a family night with a reduced entry price. Thursday, October 17, 2024, will be Family Night at the Amherst County Fair. Kids 18 and under will get into the fair for $2.00 when they are in costume! The bounce houses and silent dance party will be open, the midway will be selling tickets and wristbands, and we might even have a few extra surprises up our sleeves!
Fairground hours will be:
Thursday 5-10 pm; gate closes at 9 pm
Friday 5-10 pm; gate closes at 9 pm
Saturday 12-10 pm; gate closes at 9 pm
Sunday 12-6 pm; gate closes at 5 pm
