James River State Park First Day Hike
Jan. 1, 2025. 12 PM - 2 PM - Meet at the Visitor Center
Start the year off on the right foot, and what better place to do it then James River State Park. We will be offering two guided hikes, and you can pick which one interests you the most.
For the nature lover, we will be offering a Wetlands Hike, to see our floodplain ponds and wildlife.
For those passionate about history, we will also be offering a History Hike. We will show you some historical highlights in the park as well as covering the area's history from fossils to the Civil War.
Please wear some comfortable shoes and warm clothing. Have some fun while getting some fresh air and exercise on the first day of the new year!
January 1 is a Free Parking Day at all Virginia State Parks.
