Description
Join us as we cut the ribbon and play at Lynchburg’s newest accessible playground!
The event begins with a brief ceremony including remarks by Mayor Stephanie Reed, City Manager Wynter Benda, and the Kiwanis Club of Central Virginia. From there, select dignitaries and kids will cut the official ribbon, signifying it is time to test out the playground. Equipment includes swings, a rotating ring, a spinning pole, an accessible carousel, a tilted spinning bowl, a geometric climbing structure, a large climbing and bouncing structure, and a music play panel.
Refreshments to follow are provided by The Water Dog. This is an outdoor event, please dress appropriately.
The Kiwanis Centennial Riverfront Playground is a part of the Riverfront Amphitheater Project set to be completed Summer 2026.
