The annual “Hooping for Heroes” event will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 starting at 6:00 PM at Liberty High School (Doors open at 5:30). This one time a year fundraiser allows for the Special Olympic athletes to participate in the Big and Little Feet Meets that are held at Liberty High School annually. Special Olympics is a cause close to the community’s heart, promoting inclusion and empowering individuals with disabilities through sports.“Hooping with Heroes” is a basketball game that is sponsored by the school’s “Fused Together Club” that allows unified students, teachers and staff to play against our local law enforcement partners (Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, Town of Bedford Police Department and Virginia State Police).
Please come out to cheer on our student athletes, staff, and local enforcement for an unforgettable evening of basketball and community spirit. There will be a 50/50 raffle, concessions and shirts to purchase to raise additional funds for Special Olympics events in Bedford County. Let’s score big for a great cause!
$5.00 general admission. All proceeds will benefit Bedford County Special Olympic Athletes.
