Football Brownies Make Game Day Fun!

Yummy football shaped brownies are the sweet game day treat your kids will love!

You probably think about chili and dips when you think about game day menu for the big game. But be sure to add something sweet!

The Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the big game at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Lousiana on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Bring the kids into the game day preparations with these tips:

  1. Let the kids pick their favorite team or choose your family's favorite team
  2. Visit the dollar store to pick plates, cups and napkins in your team's colors
  3. Decorate the house and table - Use football shaped platters for more fun!

Football Brownies

Ingredients:

1 13x9 pan of brownies (we start with a box mix of brownies)
1 container of chocolate frosting, heated in the microwave to make glaze
1 tube of white icing

1. Bake a 13x9 pan of brownies according the the directions on the box or buy a pan of brownies. 

2. Using a cookie cutter or knife, cut the brownies into football shapes. 

3. Heat the chocolate frosting in the microwave on high. Heat for 30 seconds at a time, then stir. Repeat as needed until the frosting is liquidy. 

4. Glaze with chocolate frosting. Let dry.

5. Use the tube of white frosting to make the football laces and you're done!

Kids get bored easily, but if you include them in the planning, they will enjoy the big game more.
