Lynchburg Museum, located at 901 Court Street, began offering free admission several years ago as a pilot project. "Admission fees are often a barrier, especially for larger families under economic stress," said Museum Director Doug Harvey in a news release. "We think this move will allow us to serve more students and local residents as well as potentially generate more tourism for the city."
The pilot project was a huge success and free admission became permanent at the museum. Add a visit to Lynchburg Museum to your family's summer bucket list.
Visit www.lynchburgmuseum.org to learn more about current exhibits at the Museum. Lynchburg Museum is open daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Day. Museum hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
