27 Ninth Street, Lynchburg, VA Read MorePatrick Henry’s Red Hill is the final home and burial place of America’s patriot and founding father, Patrick Henry. Visitors can view an introductory fifteen-minute video on Patrick Henry's career and his life at Red Hill and see the world’s largest collection of Patrick Henry artifacts in the Red Hill Museum. There follows a tour of Red Hill's seven historic buildings, the Patrick Henry gravesite, and the grounds overlooking the Staunton River Valley, which appears much as it did in Henry's time. Some of Red Hill's special programs include an annual 4th of July celebration which features Revolutionary War-era re-enactors and concludes with an evening fireworks display, and Living History Days for children.

We stay busy with kid activities and love spending time outdoors. When it's time for a road trip, we're usually headed to the beach, the Blue Ridge Mountains or out of state to visit family.Β At home, you'll find me in the garden or at the computer, adding great local events to the Lynchburg Macaroni Kid calendar.Β
